Acupuncture has been practised for thousands of years in the Far East. It is a safe and effective form of treatment that can address many health issues, both physical and emotional, and is suitable for all ages.

There is now a growing body of scentific evidence that traditional chinese medicine, including acupuncture, is a useful treatment for many conditions including:

  • Back pain
  • Knee pain
  • Chronic pain
  • Headache and migraine
  • Fertility issues
  • Irritable bowel syndrome
  • Allergic rhinitis and asthma
  • Depression
  • Endometriosis and painful periods
  • Hot flushes and menopausal symptoms

Sarah Price and Anna Salman have nearly 30 years of experience between them. They practise from The WholeWorks, a complementary health centre in central Edinburgh. They are both members of the British Acupuncture Council, and Sarah is a member of the Register of Chinese Herbal Medicine.

Sarah and Anna have a special interest in:

  • Women's Health
  • Supportive care for individuals receiving treatment for cancer
  • Anxiety, stress and depression
